• The type of part we use in the repair of your vehicle may be specified in your insurance policy. (Please see the pitfalls section.) We prefer to use Original Equipment Manufacturer's (OEM) parts in the repair of your vehicle. However, sometimes the insurance company will specify the type of part we use. After-market parts (especially body panels) are not always as good as the original. However, a recycled (used) or after market part may make sense on an older vehicle. We believe our customers should receive a top quality repair, but what makes sense for you will depend on the age and condition of your vehicle, your budget, and what your insurance policy requires. Remember, if your insurance company specifies after-market parts, you can always pay the difference if you prefer OEM parts.
